Today I was clicking some pictures and using photosphere when my camera app crashed. It just stopped working?? It only shows me a black space.. and tells me to restart the phone etc. This is so sudden and crazy. I have tried everything -Even rebooting it to safe mode. It doesnt work then too. Sometimes it'll be a notification that says get personal results on headphones and sometimes a voice that says the time them says turn something on for personal results It's getting really annoying and it interrups what I'm listening to, any help would be great [link] [comments] |

I've looked into the galaxy s20, note 10, lg v50, google pixel 4 and a few more. I've read a lot of pros and cons about each but seeing if anyone has a good recommendation. | Posted: 14 Apr 2021 12:45 PM PDT I downloaded 30 gigs worth of apps and I haven't 120 gig SD card. And on my Samsung Galaxy A10 e there's an option to move apps to the SD card. I'm hoping someone knows of an app that will do that for me so I don't have to go one by one. That takes way too much time. Posted: 14 Apr 2021 12:28 PM PDT Im on a galaxy a10s if it matters running android 10, its my first phone (yes in 2021), so bare with me if I say something noobish, I have had it less then 48 hours So I installed fdroid and installed shelter from fdroid, I then cloned some proprietary apps I might use into shelter, and then uninstalled all the proprietary apps it would let me I uninstalled some things like, spotify, photos, linkedin, office, drive, and others about a few hours later I started getting notifications out the ying yang, my anti-virus (libreAV) was saying newly installed apps were safe, all the stuff I uninstalled, reinstalled themselves I see you can delete stuff for good with adb, with a command like but I am hoping there is a simpler solution, then learning adb right now, any ideas? | Posted: 13 Apr 2021 07:43 PM PDT Hello folks, A little background... I will be taking a solo driving trip soon - 2 weeks through the mountain back-roads from GA to ME and back. In order to tailor my route very specifically I have selected 80+ waypoints which I´ve sent to my car´s nav system. Separately, I have spent a lot of time and effort de-googling my phone and PC as best I can (no gmail account, Nextcloud instead of Drive, etc.etc.) Considering my route, and that I´ll be alone, in an abundance of caution I would like to share my GPS location with my wife in real time. That way if I don´t hit a way point (which she´ll have a list of), she can escalate as needed and have some meaningful information to share. I realize I will have to enable Location on the phone. Long ago I turned off Location History on my (limited) google account. Nevertheless, I am pretty sure that by having Location enabled on an Android phone that the Google will know where I am despite my efforts. All that said, does anyone have any ideas on how to do this with the least Google info sharing as possible? I've searched the web and reddit to no good avail. I've searched F-Droid and found a couple of things that are for whatever reason not suitable (e.g. GPS tracker crashes every time). I realize this is a long shot, but redditors can be a clever bunch in such matters, so I figured it would be a good idea to ask around. I have a OnePlus 8 Pro on Verizon. | New "bubble" style notification, putting together "old" messenger heads and SMS Posted: 14 Apr 2021 11:59 AM PDT Ok so, I don't know if you got the same issue as me, but I upgraded my Xiaomi Mi Note 10 a month ago or so, and suddenly never got to see old Facebook messenger heads again, instead got replaced with similar "rounded cube" shaped bubbles, but worse. It now puts in common Messenger and SMS, but my messenger notifications doesn't work correctly now, plus when I click on the bubble, instead of showing the discussion on the whole screen it barely takes half of my phone and my keyboard pops-up right over the text input (so I can't see what I'm writing basically). I've searched for "bubble" in my language (French) in the options but can't find any "bubble notification" related parameter. Just did a quick search and found out messenger decided to go with the android bubble api to manage notifications, si I guess we'll never be able to see old messenger chat heads again. But the issue that remains for me is the one about the discussion size opening when clicking on the bubble. The only thing i can do is clicking on "manage" wich only let me enable or disable bubble and that's it. (can't find that parameter in my options btw). Posted: 14 Apr 2021 11:51 AM PDT I've been using the official Reddit app for several years, but have decided to switch away from it due to it taking up a lot of my storage, and draining my battery significantly. I switched to Boost, having heard good things about it. The UI is decent (although I prefer the official app) but having checked my battery stats, it has used 10% of my battery for only 57 mins of usage, not a lot better than the official app. Are there any apps for Reddit which do not cause such significant battery drain? I can't understand why it's so high, other apps use far less battery despite being more graphically intensive or harder on the CPU (looking at you LLSIFAS.) Whenever I turn the ignition on and the head unit starts, I get two applications start immediately. "Music" and "DVD". I tried to disable them under settings, but I don't have that option. I have even reset the default apps, but that didn't do the trick either. May I ask, if you know of any way to block these apps from starting during the head unit's boot? Many thanks for your replies. Mainly to change music, start or stop navigation etc. The screen wakes up using it though, which is annoying, since the phone is often in my pocket and considers a lot of stuff as touch input. Running into a weird glitch that I've never come across where, I need to double tap on an icon to launch an app. Doesn't always happen but for example, I press on Twitter and it looks like it's about to load (screen dims) and then it doesn't. | Data trouble with unlocked phone Posted: 14 Apr 2021 08:28 AM PDT I bought an unlocked phone that was originally Verizon and bought a byop kit from straight talk. I have always had to mess with the APN settings to get my data to work, but this time things are still a little wonky. Usually I just Google "apn settings for straight talk" but this time I had to look for one labeled as Verizon/straight talk to get it to work. Also it won't even let me save the apn settings unless I go to network operations and manually select Verizon. It says "apn settings not available to this user" Anyway, my data is working but its only 3g and I barely have bars. When I have my wifi on, there's a 1x beside it. Phone is a note 9. Posted: 14 Apr 2021 12:50 AM PDT My wife and I will be staying in a location without internet access for a few days, and wanted to catch up on some anime we've been neglecting while we're there. I figured I'd just download a bunch of episodes via the Funimation app, so my question then is what is my easiest solution to then watch those on a television?
