I've been using Apple iPhones ever since my dad bought me my first phone as a gift over 7 years ago, and I never thought of transitioning. I've always been satisfied with Apple phones, until recently. Being a Windows user I'm getting tired of the way they handle photos and music files, and I don't like that iPhones don't have 3.5mm audio jacks, among other annoyances. I'm thinking of transitioning to Android in the future, but I have a few questions before I do this. - What should I know before transitioning? Do Android phones have quirks that I should be aware of? - Do all Android phones have 3.5mm audio jacks, or are android phones also following the same trend as Apple by removing this audio jack? - Overall, is Android a reliable OS compared with iOS? Posted: 22 Mar 2021 12:11 PM PDT Hey guys, I have a samsung A10s (it's not that good, but I'm brazillian and eletronics are so expensive here) and days after a software update the camera app suddenly stopped. I don't think that is a hardware problem because i've installed other camera app and it works. The camera on other apps: facebook, whatsapp, teams... works fine too. I've already tried everything that people say on internet, even the hardreset. Nothing works. Have you ever experienced that?? PS: Sorry for any english mistakes, I'm not a native. | An ad for a app download on my phone Posted: 22 Mar 2021 11:46 AM PDT I was playing an app game from playstite on my phone and this add called newsbreak downloaded onto my phone everything I was pressing the cancel button which idk of that was for the notification cause it needed downloading onto my phone. However this app was already preinstalled onto my phone so when I checked my virus scan app it says it was updated but in the play store it says it wasn't. Idk what I should do I went ahead and uninstalled the app and I'm scanning my phone now.. I just dont know what else I should be doing? [link] [comments] |

I am assuming this means that my essential PH-1 is bricked. But, is it possible to get my data back? I have lots of data/photos/videos on it which I did not back up using google photos. I have a Samsung galaxy s20 plus and I've had it for just less than a year. I bought a third party backup battery/power bank at the same time and I've been using it off and on since then. However, recently the battery has stopped "fast charging" and now when I plug it in it will only "cable charge." Any suggestions of what I could do to bring up the speed? | GPS stoped working after I disable google play services Posted: 22 Mar 2021 09:58 AM PDT After I disabled google play services and play store, apps like Waze, Sygic, HERE WeGo and even Maps from google can't locate my position anymore using gps or wifi. | Files pushed to the phone using ADB are not recognized by some apps Posted: 22 Mar 2021 08:17 AM PDT Not sure if this is a thing of my phone only, but whenever I push something to my phone using ADB, stuff like images or videos, some apps can't tell the files are there. For example, Google Photos or Instagram won't load the pictures even though I can see them in a File Manager. For the files to be discoverable I have to manually move them around between folders. | Why does the Google voice search feature talk so slowly Posted: 22 Mar 2021 07:59 AM PDT I have this issue where if I use the voice search feature in the Google search bar on my Samsung and ask it a question like what is the colour red is it will speak at a snails pace I do not know why but if I hold the home button or say ok Google and ask the assistant what is the colour red she will speak at a normal rate why is this have I done something to screw up the voice search feature. I know details like a kick of of dust upon landing and/or when initially jumping depending on the "strength " of the characters jump can make a jump appear more dynamic. Does a static jump speed simulate control or is there more control in controlling jump velocity and / or height by holding the jump button? What are some thoughts and feeling on stretching during a jump animation? I'm investigating concepts to make my game more fun. I currently have a game on the google play store called Fungi Monkey. In said game the characters jump from one side to another avoiding enemies. | Any way to change the colour of the label of your icons on home? Posted: 22 Mar 2021 07:20 AM PDT I chose a light coloured theme, but the icon labels stay stubbornly white, and they're really hard to read. The preview for the theme shows icon labels as black, so I'm not sure what the issue is... anyone know how to fix this issue? | How do I connect my Galaxy Watch 42mm to my A2 Core? Posted: 22 Mar 2021 07:19 AM PDT Hey! Long story short, I busted my S8 Plus screen, so now I have to wait till August for an upgrade. In the meantime, I have a spare A2 Core. It seems that the Samsung Health and Galaxy Wearable apps are incompatible with the A2 core. Was wandering if anyone had a workaround for this. And the title was in roman japanese. It was called "Nagi Yanagi Harumodoki" which is an anime released in 2015 The photo and video was saved in 2015. I flashed to wrap using Odin(AP only), but when I tried to get into recovery with volume up+power, I did nothing. So I used volume down +power to restart but then I think got got the timing wrong for entering recovery, so now it shows the logo and warning (picture 1). I tried every combination of the three buttons and only volume down+power did something; the screen turns off, then shows picture 2 and after pressing power or waiting a few seconds, goes back to picture 1. When I connect the phone to my computer, it doesn't detect it (no Windows sound). Right now battery is drained. | Multiple email accounts + security Posted: 22 Mar 2021 05:25 AM PDT I have 2 email accounts in my Gmail app and 2 email accounts in the Outlook app. Suppose I get a malicious email in one of my email accounts in Outlook and I end up with malware. Will my other account in Outlook be safe or will only the email account that received the email be affected? What about my Gmail accounts? I like to segregate my email accounts but I hate downloading 3rd party apps, especially for email. | USB-C HDMI Adapter Kills Internet? Posted: 22 Mar 2021 02:25 AM PDT Hi Folks, I'm trying to connect my OnePlus 7T to a TV so that I can use desktop mode to watch streaming services on my TV. I have 2 USBC 3.1 adapters and they connect fine... However both cause significant internet degradation both on WIFI and Mobile Data. Are there any settings to stop this? - I assume the phone is trying to share internet through the adapter (Or get internet through the adapter) and that's causing the issues. I went to SamMobile to check, and the Galaxy S10e SM-G970U does have the Android 11 firmware, multiple in fact I'm just not sure why my phone doesn't have any updates at all, matter of fact the security patch is the June 1 2020 version Should I wait? | Posted: 22 Mar 2021 01:10 AM PDT So I basically had my phone stolen near a buss stop almost a week ago, and since then I was unable to track it. I tried locating it with Googles Find My Phone features however it only had access to the last location ( & time) I had my phone with me. I have already reported all of it to the police and gave them the IMEI number, unfortunately I have yet to receive any info from them. More than a day ago, a friend of mine saw that my Viber was online for a brief minute. Just for reference I will mention that I have yet to lock the sim card that was in the phone (as I didnt use it often), and I was wondering if I can track the guy through that. I did try to call the phone by different means but it was unavailable, but given my Viber was online I am assuiming he reset my phone, re-installed viber and tried to run it with my SIM in it. So is there a possible way to track him with that bit of extra info. [link] [comments] |
