Posted: 03 Feb 2021 06:15 AM PST Hi, So neither me nor my SO can log into our Google accounts on a TV that she got from work. It says that the user and password does not match which we 100% that they do after many tries. This is really frustrating when this would have been a free upgrade to a smart(er) TV and now we can't get any other apps than the previously installed ones. Have anyone experienced and fixed this? (i am based in Ireland) sonyliv and discovery+ i couldn't find sonlyliv for android tv anywhere to download. anyone here have them to share? i extracted it from firestick but it didnt work. discovery+ - i could download from play store but it didnt accept my indian login details. may be the app has some EU lock (i have smart dns to use these app) [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 03 Feb 2021 03:53 AM PST I received a Verizon stream tv for free as part of a promotion. Now I go to turn it on this morning and get an error message saying that android is corrupted. How tf do they not have a hard reset button. Who's designing them? A fucking 5 year old! I guess it's time to get out the alligator clips and a power source. Ps. | Posted: 02 Feb 2021 07:43 PM PST So I've used android in the past on phones and one of the great things was being able to quickly switch between running apps. But with this tcl android tv I find that if I accidentally hit the dedicated Netflix/YouTube button(which unfortunately happens way too often) I have to completely reload the previous app (ie HBOmax )over again. Is there a setting or something I'm not aware of or is this just android tv vs android phone os functionality? [link] [comments] | ||

When looking at the preview of the vid, it runs fine but when i select the video, nothing plays. The Ad doesnt even load up its just stuck on 0:00 secs. I tried connecting my phone and still frozen on screen although it shows the video is running from my phone. I tried uninstalling, clearing cache and restarting tv, no luck with anything. | Far field voice control on TCL android TV? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 02:39 PM PST So my boyfriend got me a TCL TV as an Xmas present. I only set it up a few days ago. It was advertised as having google assistant built in and compatible with animal Alexa. However, the voice control for my Amazon echo dot doesn't work with it and neither does the integrated google assistant voice control. The google assistant voice control works using the MagiConnect app but I don't think the remote that came with the TV has a microphone. When I try to activate far field voice control in the setting menu it just says "far field voice control currently unavailable". I'm in the Republic of Ireland so I figure maybe a lot of the features advertised could be region locked, such as far field voice control and Freeview Play apps (All4 and BBC iPlayer). Posted: 02 Feb 2021 08:09 PM PST I installed discovery plus from the playstore on my Nvidia shield TV and when it opens up it shows the login or create new account screen, but you can't actually select them. I tried sideloading the mobile app which let me login and browse but when I select a show it kills the app. Does this actually work? [link] [comments] | ||
