| Posted: 17 Feb 2021 08:30 AM PST I'll try to go to my account settings for the gallery's content lock or youtube vanced's login, and it says that my older hotmail address is already present on this device, but it can't display my files because technically a different google account is what locked those files. Reinstalling vanced won't even let me login at all now (it says there's a problem communicating with Google's servers when I try to add my account?), although the default Youtube app (filled with ads) still works at the moment and has me logged into it - that's not really a fix though. Because google is stupid this is basically leaving me with two options: 1: Somehow find a way to delete/disable the newer gmail account and hope it doesn't disable my entire google account and just reverts back to having my hotmail account as the primary address, which I assume will put things back to normal and let me access my files and login to youtube vanced. Looking around in google's account settings, it doesn't really look like there's a way to do this from what I can tell. 2: Remove my locked files from my phone onto my computer and find a way to unencrypt/recover them. Is there even a process or app I can use to accomplish this? If Option 1 doesn't work, are my files going to be lost forever? Any help would be greatly appreciated. | Posted: 17 Feb 2021 09:26 AM PST i see people commenting oh no sd 662 is for playing games like flappy bird. i mean are they insane? sure irs not the most powerful but it can handle most 3d games and what games arent there without graphics settings. for mid range products its decent enough. and some people are like oh no this mid range soc wont last a year. while bragging about how powerful their top soc is and will last few years. i mean i should mind my own business but thesse people are really annoying and probably influence tech illiterate people to buy much expensive things. Posted: 17 Feb 2021 12:37 PM PST I recently tried to copy a big 4k movie(30gb) to my android tablet(Samsung tab s5e)(internal storage). Every time I try to do this I get an error sound and it does nothing, not even an error message. I tried different files of this size and I have te same problem. I know that fat32 storage can't go higher than 4gb but internal storage should allow bigger files. I also tried it with my Samsung s10 phone an had the same problem again. Just to be clear, it's only with really big files. Files of around 2/3gb work fine. So how do I fix this so I can watch my movie. [link] [comments] |

I have added a basic logitech c270 which works on other machines (not android) https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/webcams/c270-hd-webcam.960-000694.html I have used the camera app but it just errors and closes upon trying to open it. I downloaded Open camera and that opens but claims the camera is in use. No change. I am fairly technical and should be able to get logs / version numbers if needed. I don't know if this is a G6 specific thing, or is an Android thing. The G6 has this feature called the QuickMemo+. This grabs a screenshot of your screen. You are able to draw on it, as well as write text on the bottom. It's there a Pixel version of it, or even an app that enables the user to do this? I put my current one knowing it likely wouldn't work and it didn't as expected. I tried making a new one, but whenever I do so it says that the username isn't able to be found/ made. I can't access the internet on the tablet because it's saying the web address for google youtube etc is not valid. I want to actually be able to use my tablet and not have it as an expensive paperweight. I don't know how to use custom ROMs and I am very concerned that it could brick the tablet. Could someone please help me / instruct me how to get to a version of android that will allow me to access youtube, chrome, and the app store. However, it will not run on anything newer than Jelly Bean, pretty sure I tried it on everything from KitKat to 10, on phones from Sony, LG, Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo, Samsung... The app instantly crashes with a message that Unfortunately, Walkman has stopped. Now what is especially strange is that version 5, as well as versions 7, 8 (and all their variants) and newer work perfectly on all versions of Android on any device. I'm guessing there is something in versions 6 that specifically requires Jelly Bean, but what can it be? Is there anything that I can do without root that could make the app work on my Oreo phones? Hidden apps would show here, I could search my email this way - it was very useful. All of a sudden, a few days ago, the same motion started triggering regular Google search through the assistant. If I have a player playing a video or music and my phone sends a notification the player stops on my PC. Its very annoying. I have tried to change settings to not send the notifications to my headset, but I cannot find any such setting. Randomly it seems that double tapping will instead open my camera, and it seemed to have triggered more often with Tasker installed, but it still is happening on a fresh install with no Tasker. No other gestures in Nova are to open camera. I am on a Xaiomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, and it occurs on multiple different roms including Cesium and Sakura (android 11) and Ressurection Remix (android 10). | Photos and thumbnails randomly don't match Posted: 17 Feb 2021 06:09 AM PST All of the sudden about a week or so ago I've discovered a problem with the pictures on my phone. Everything is hunky dory in the Google Photos app, but when I open my secondary photo gallery app (used for seeing downloaded/imported pictures stored locally, as well as those uploaded to Google Photos) - Piktures - the thumbnails for some of my pictures don't match. When I press on a "wrong" picture, it enlarges to show the "correct" one. It seems so random as the thumbnails are old pictures. And it doesn't affect every old picture. Further, going forward from a certain recent date all of my pictures are correctly represented and continue to be so. And when making a post on Instagram, if I select a "wrong" thumbnail, it will post that "wrong" picture. Unlike in Piktures, it doesn't enlarge to the "correct" one. This whole situation is really baffling. I don't know if the error happened with the February Android security update or what. I cleared the caches in Google Photos, Piktures, and Instagram, to no avail. If anyone knows how to get this straightened out, I'd greatly appreciate it. BTW if it matters, I'm running stock, up to date Android 11 on a Pixel 4a. No launchers, not rooted, no bells and whistles that mess with the OS. [link] [comments] |

| Samsung S10+ - Notification badges Posted: 17 Feb 2021 09:02 AM PST I know a few years ago Samsung introduced the 'feature' where if you swipe away a notification, the unread 'badge' that would show on the app icon disappears too. They're obviously not changing this anytime soon and it's really bugging me. Any ideas of how to make these work again? I've tried Nova launcher but that also removes the badges once you swipe away. I know this question has been asked 1.3 million times, and a quick Google search comes back with even more guides on how to fix this, but none of them work. Brand new Samsung S21+ (T-Mobile). Settings in Play Store are set to allow downloads over all networks. Cleared Play Store cache and data Tried different active SIM cards (from other Android phones that work) The last person I spoke to at T-Mobile said this was an issue plaguing the S21 series of phones, and they are waiting for Samsung to provide a fix; but I cannot find any information online about his claim. Now it wont turn on, but it charges, bixby button and volume still responsive. | Posted: 17 Feb 2021 08:00 AM PST I have an issue where there are some music files that do not appear in the storage (using My Files, pre-installed with Samsung phones) I use a music app called "BlackPlayer" which can detect the songs but no other app has been able to view these files (Samsung Music, Automatag). I like to use Automatag to edit the Tags of the files but the app cannot find ~170 of the 2700 song library, all installed in the same location in the internal storage. If I connect my device via USB to a laptop and go to where the songs are stored, I can then view these songs which were previously 'missing' from the storage according to my device's storage app. What is going on here?
