| How to stop my phone connecting to wifi networks? Posted: 07 Feb 2020 11:27 AM PST I've been having this issue only recently. In public places, my phone is auto connecting to wifi networks that I have never asked it to connect to before, and I cannot tell it to 'forget' these networks or not to connect to them. It's happening constantly, I am trying to connect to websites and instead i'm getting redirected to sign in pages for wifi networks that I never asked for and don't want. I don't want to have to keep turning my wifi off and on I just want my phone to not connect to networks by itself . any idea why it is doing this and how to stop it? it's a samsung galaxy A40. | Posted: 07 Feb 2020 09:31 AM PST Sometimes I'll be listening to Spotify with my earbuds and it's all good and great and it warns me about going too loud sometimes and when I get it to about half way it's on the loud side. Then like the next day I could do it and the volume at half is quite soft. I have to turn the volume up all the way. I'm on a Google pixel 2 running the latest update thing Most of the time the volume warning doesn't come up (with doesn't bother me but I thought I should mention it) How can I fix this so the volume stays the same all the time? So medium is good enough and loud is almost too loud? Rather than loud being soft? [link] [comments] |

| Wifi "sign-in" option is unavailable Posted: 07 Feb 2020 10:54 AM PST So I have to connect to the bus wifi, and before I clicked on "Sign in" next to "Forget" when you click on the wifi from the wifi panel, but I hold my finger on sign in and I clicked on an option saying sign in automatically, but now I don't see the page of the internet i have to sign in, what's wrong? how do I revert it to the original state? I don't live in the states so that limits a lot of options, and there's no mail service where I live so I can't ship it anywhere (it's not under warranty as is) I have the device in safe mode and attached to my laptop, it's showing in the device manager with a subheader of Android Bootloader Interface. the bottom of the safemode screen tells me my phone is LOCKED but I bought it direct from Google so I know it's not a Verison type. (Just a heads up, choosing any option other than power off causes the boot loop to start again so I cannot get to recovery mode and wipe the device as is suggested elsewhere) My issue right now is when trying to follow this portion of the guide I put in the command in command prompt asking for the adb version and it doesn't recognize it as a command-- what did I do wrong? I restarted my computer after making c:\adb, unzipped all files TO there, and yet it's not working out Help me AndroidQuestions forums, you're my only hope [link] [comments] |

I've always liked the LG G series but I see the new one in my price range (LG G7 ThinQ) looks like a real pain to replace battery/other parts in due to being water resistant. I'd like something with similar performance to the G7 ThinQ. My priorities in approximate order are:
In the end maybe I should just buy the G7 and live with it if I have to replace the battery some day, but I'd like to check into other good options that I might not know of. Thank you! [link] [comments] |

I have 2-step verification set up and I always verify my log ins (school computers etc.) with my Z3 Compact. I'm trying to log in and switch to my new Z5; The notification appears on my Z3C, I tap Yes, but the Z5 log in doesn't progress. I tried to turn it on however it just goes on an infinite three loading screen. I can't boot into recovery mode either. | Camera scanning apps get hijacked by bing image search Posted: 07 Feb 2020 07:17 AM PST I've googled this to death to no avail. Please help. Galaxy A50 Verizon I've downloaded a couple of receipt management apps (including google drive), and on both, when I click the camera icon to scan a new document, bing image search opens instead of the camera (the image being searched is always the word "null" for some reason.) I've scanned the phone with Malware bites, nothing found. I've updated the software, no dice. There is no bing app on the phone. The camera opens normally, it's only when I try to use these scanning apps that I have this issue. What to do next? Thank you! [link] [comments] |

How can I clean it completely and have a stock Z5 with stock Xperia firmware? Is it possible without rooting the phone or doing other complicated and risky tasks? They've purchased a google chromecast and I'm giving them an ASUS Nexus tablet to use in there for casting which I'm planning on installing just apps like Netflix / BBC iPlayer / Amazon Prime Video etc. What I'm wondering is if anyone has any tips to make it so when they open any of the apps, it will automatically cast to the chromecast without them needing to do anything apart from select what they want to watch on the device? Also, are there any Android themes which might make it look nice and simple for them with large icons and a simple UI with just the apps they need on there? Many thanks in advance!!! I make alot of typing mistakes and since the update they are all added as new words.. The weirdest letter combinations are added to the library. Any idea what is happening? | Apps slow on wifi, but fast on mobile data Posted: 07 Feb 2020 05:33 AM PST Hey everyone :) Last month I changed my Internet provider. Since then most of the apps are extremely slow using my wifi. For example if I want to updates some apps in the Playstore it takes me like 3-4 minutes until it finishes. First it takes approximately 1 minute until it starts to download the updated, and then 2-3 minutes to finish a 30mb update. If I do a speedtest I have a solid 350mbits connection. But if I change to mobile data, I don't have this problem. So is there a problem with my phone, or with my router? And I'm not sure if this would be the right sub for this question, but because it occurs only on my Phone, I tried here. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
