Posted: 14 Feb 2020 09:31 AM PST Ill keep it short: One hour ago, the charger stopped doing its job (yesterday it was doing just fine) After the phone(A70) shut down, I restarted it and now it's been stuck at 0% for a good 20 mins, functionating perfectly. What should I do? [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Feb 2020 08:00 AM PST It didn't even reset, and it never happened before to me, any clue of why that happened? [link] [comments]
My mobile phone (MI) that uses Android one seems to be incapable of multi tasking? Posted: 14 Feb 2020 01:20 AM PST Sometimes an app will close just by reducing it for a second. Spotify will be playing in the background and close the second anything stops it. It has reached such an stupid point that I can't login into an account from my mobile because it sends a confirmation code to my Gmail but in opening the Gmail app to get the code the browser has closed and so it serves no function. I understand apps automatically closing (Although I already do that automatically if I am not using the app). Is there any way to get over this. I saw online changing the settings of the app (for Spotify) to something like unlimit the amount of energy used by app, option I have toggled but it still does this. Basically, is this part of Android one? Is there anyway to stop this? Help [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Feb 2020 11:14 AM PST My phone automatically lowers the audio volume when an especially loud part of the song plays. Now how to fix? [link] [comments]
How to use Gmail desktop signature on mobile? Posted: 14 Feb 2020 10:49 AM PST Is there any way to make my desktop signature appear on emails I create with the mobile app? I believe this used to work fine when I had a plain text signature on desktop, but I did some recent formatting to make it look better, just some color and bolding. Now it doesn't show on emails I write with the app. The mobile signature setting is not set. [link] [comments]
Any way to access the screen password? Posted: 14 Feb 2020 10:26 AM PST My nephew got into a fight with his brother. So, he changed the password on his phone (a Moto G7 Power from Verizon). He didn't use the phone for a week (not allowed in school, etc) and went to use it. And he forgot the password, so the phone is remaining locked. Here's the good news - he has put in a "bad" password 16 times, and the phone hasn't deleted itself. Which means that the settings are such that it's not on auto-wipe. He can just keep on putting in passwords, but that could take a while (obviously). Is there any location that the password could be found, or attempted? In addition, he has a web filter on there, by GenTech solutions - would they have access to the phone's password? Let's say we do need to wipe the phone...can I access the phone's data before wipe? I have the photos in his account backed up until August - about the same time they put on GenTech (stupid filters!) Any way to see if it was backed up elsewhere? I put iDrive on, but I think they wiped that as well. Edit: it is a Moto G7 Power. [link] [comments]
Maximum charging speed of an LG Aristo 2? Posted: 14 Feb 2020 10:22 AM PST When charging my LG Aristo 2, Ampere (free app that shows charging current) shows the max charging speed at 1.2 amps. Is this the maximum charging speed for my phone or the highest my USB cable can provide? My phone usually charges at 500-700mA. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Feb 2020 09:46 AM PST I do not use XFINITY at all but I used to as a temporary internet while I was figuring out a more permanent fix. In my area we have two Xfinity hotspots, one lowercase, one uppercase. The lower case is 2.4ghz and has a captive login page that requires you to sign in. The uppercase one is 5ghz and doesn't have captive login but requires you to fill out a username and password while connecting initially to the network. My phone is only auto connecting to the 5ghz one but I don't have any of the credentials filled out so it tries to connect but fails and just stalls there and doesn't go back to my actual home wifi. It just sits, half connected, with no internet, until I change it back manually... Everytime... I don't know what else I can do. I go into my wifi settings and click "forget network" but it still keeps going back, even if I have full signal to my home network. I'm using to my phone connecting to other works or doing whatever to maintain internet if there's loss of signal but only with networks that I actually tell it to. I've never experienced this and any help would be appreciated. It feels like Xfinity is a GD tractor beam. [link] [comments]

Does the Photos app have any view where I can just see all image files on my device? Other apps do. Posted: 14 Feb 2020 12:40 PM PST When I open up the "attach image" dialog in Messenger, for example, I get a panel of just every image file on my app sorted by date. This is incredibly useful and it's often the only way I can find things sometimes! After all, I know I saved that meme yesterday, but did I save it from Reddit or Twitter? Or did I screencap it? Or save it right from Messenger? When these are all different folders it's a pain in the ass. Currently my workflow when I'm looking for something is to literally open an email to no one and go through the attachment dialog, which makes me feel like an aging boomer who doesn't know how to use a phone. Please tell me there's a better way. [link] [comments]
Best Android Auto head unit that has wireless capability? Posted: 14 Feb 2020 12:03 PM PST Hey all I'm looking to upgrade the stock radio in my 2008 Mazda 3 Maxx Sport to an Android Auto one, mostly for music/podcasts and phone calls but navigation would be nice too. Based on my understanding, using Google Maps on the head unit requires a USB connection in most circumstances but with some models not needing that depending on your phone. Phone wise I'm good as I'm using a Note 10+ which is apparently compatible but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a head unit itself? I was looking at the Sony XAV-5000 or whatever it's called but it doesn't have wireless navigation. Price wise around or under $1000AUD would be best but I understand that may not be possible. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Feb 2020 12:02 PM PST My Sony Xperia M4 aqua was stuck in a boot loop and couldn't fix it with companion. So, I left it collecting dust. After a couple of weeks, I tried to charge it, but no LED showed up and nothing. It is in a dead condition and I tried keeping the charger connected for hours. It just got a bit warm to the touch after 10-12 hours of charging, and nothing else has happened (no light, no led). I connected the device to my pc, then windows shows unknown/unrecognized device error. I tried with m4 aqua driver available at sonymobile developers site with no luck. I tried flash tools, but the device is not found error occured even I tried connecting the phone volume down key on hold. I'm feeling a bit frustrated with this beautiful looking device. Could someone help me with this to get fixed? I would really appreciate your help. Thank you. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Feb 2020 10:29 AM PST Hi all, I need suggestions as to how I can turn on my Huawei Y300, which has been turned into a camera and it's power supply can be controlled remotely as it's a smart plug. The problem was that the IFTTT program didn't go off which was supposed to turn on the smart plug when the battery levels dropped below 15% but it didn't and instead the battery ran flat. Now whenever I turn on the smart plug - the phone supposedly just goes into the battery charging state but doesn't actually turn on. Will the phone turn on at 100% or am I completely out of options (as I can't physically go to the device and can only do things remotely)? [link] [comments]
Best browser to use with video assistant ( like samsung internet) Posted: 14 Feb 2020 09:23 AM PST Currently using samsung internet, but it seems to be draining my battery rapidly, is there any alternatives that also have a video assistant available? [link] [comments]
How to clone apps easily without ad pop ups Posted: 14 Feb 2020 09:03 AM PST I want to run two different account of the same app. Like a messaging app like kik. I tried to get its mod as to have an alternative account, but that's pretty much it. I've tried Parallel Space and kind of apps. But they massively suck and have tons of ads. Plus they eat more ram than solo apps. Is there any good lite weight app cloner? Or maybe some other alternatives? [link] [comments]

Vivo y53 wifi is VERY slow when it comes to apps, but fast when it comes to browsers. Posted: 13 Feb 2020 10:45 PM PST So we moved houses recently, and of course we had to change our wifi to a new one. The new ISP is faster on our laptops. Previously my DL speeds on steam was 400 KBS now its 2-3 MBS. (Third-world country, that's pretty fast). I browse Facebook on my phone browser since I don't want to download the app, it's decent been getting 600-800kbs according to my phone. The problem is with my apps. Youtube, Netflix, Instagram, Reddt Relay connects abysmally slow. I've proven it's not because of multiple devices since my phone browser runs fine. Youtube takes like 2 whole minutes to load just the front page. Netflix gets error - 9 due to failure to connect. Instagram stories take like 2 minutes EACH to load. Compared to our previous wifi, though slower download speeds, it only takes youtube and netflix 5 seconds to load. Anyone have a solution for this? Tl;dr: New Internet. Laptop, Phone browser connects just fine; Apps are abysmally slow. [link] [comments]
| How do you change the client side name of a WiFi network? Posted: 14 Feb 2020 08:16 AM PST What I mean is that, for eg. I'm connected to a WiFi network named "A" but I don't want people to know that I'm connected to "A". So how do I change the name to "B" without changing the ssid? i.e the name in my phone only?? | Youmail disappeared from play store? Posted: 14 Feb 2020 04:21 AM PST Hi all, I was having youmail issues. It wouldn't pick up voicemail on my t-mobile galaxy s10. I thus tried to reinstall it. However, after uninstalling it is no longer appearing in the play store. Even the website link says unavailable. Is anyone else having this issue or is it on my end? [link] [comments] |
| Methods of getting my phones to last longer? Posted: 14 Feb 2020 08:06 AM PST I've been considering a Pixel 3a/4a or a OnePlus 7T for a while now, as I'd like to break away from the more expensive phones. I currently have an S8 that's dying very quickly. I've seen some of the things that the new flagships can do though, and it just blows me away. I saw some incredible photos taken on a Note 10+, and it has tempted me again to look into it...it's nearly twice the price of a OnePlus however. I looked on Swappa, and it was still nearly $800 for one in good condition, and I'm EXTREMELY nervous about buying used phones, especially about the battery life. If I do buy an expensive phone (or even an inexpensive one), I'd like to prolong the life of my phone as long as I can. What I've gathered from research is that you want to limit the amount of "charge cycles" your phone has, which means keeping the battery life draining slowly each day. I've thought of a number of ways to do this.
The other thing I see online is about charging. Some people say fast charging is bad for my long term life. Some people say it isn't. Some people say to only charge to 80% and don't let it drop below 20%. Some people say that the phones already do this by default, and that "100%" is actually 80%, just to protect the user from overcharging. Are these behaviors I should employ when I purchase a new phone? My friend with the Note 10+ managed to make his Note 5 last 5.5 years, and he plans on making this new phone last at least 5 years as well. I've never managed to get a phone to last more than 2 before they either have less than half a day of battery life or they get so insanely slow from an OS update that it's not even funny (Android 8.0 essentially nuked my S7). | Posted: 14 Feb 2020 07:10 AM PST My phone works perfectly, but for some reason last night it must have restarted itself. It was plugged in, fast-charging, and had only been at around 60% battery, so it's not like it powered down because it ran out of juice. It was 100% charged this morning, but when I opened it up it ran through the unlocking procedure it does after a restart, and the auto-volume limiter had reset. Is there an event manager/log, the way there is on Windows, that can give a clue as to why this happened? [link] [comments] |
My s10 was stolen yesterday. help? Posted: 13 Feb 2020 09:24 PM PST The phone was locked tho. I have deactivated the number and changed passwords. Some of the data is backed up. There is a pattern password tho. No sd card or anything Is it at all possible that those people are able to extract some information? what else can I do now? [link] [comments]
Samsung Galaxy S7 External Display? Posted: 14 Feb 2020 07:04 AM PST Hi. I have a spare phone that is a Galaxy S7. I use it to record 4k video for Youtube using OpenCamera. It would be very helpful if I could plug an external display into it so I can see what is displayed on the screen. Are there any sort of adapters that I could plug in to the USB port that would allow me to see the screen on any kind of monitor? I don't care if DVI, HDMI, whatever - just some sort of video output. I don't think a Chromecast or anything like that would help as I want to see what the camera is seeing, not play a video to a TV or anything? I hope this makes sense, not sure I'm explaining it the right way lol. Thanks. [link] [comments]
