- Whenever I try and connect my phone to my WiFi network, it doesn't work and says failed to obtain ip address. I have tried all the basic stuff and every other device connects to the WiFi. My phone also connects to other WiFi networks. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

| I need help to restore Zip archives Posted: 09 Dec 2019 07:05 AM PST A few weeks ago i had to format my computer, and zipped my photos and moved them to my sd card, my mother who uses my phone regularly to use whatsapp unintentionally made a factory reset with my sd card inside the phone, and I lost my photos saved on the phone, but the zip files were still there on the SD card, but when I went to unzip them, they were corrupted. The SD card has very important and special photos for me, and if possible I would like to know how to recover them, Thank you. | System automatically delets .nomedia in certain folders Posted: 09 Dec 2019 12:36 PM PST My Mi 9T Pro keeps deleting the .nomedia files I put in Downloads and Screenshots, sometimes even in real time as I create them, but in any case they disappear after rebooting. Any help? P.S. I can't set them read-only as they are not on a SD card but on the internal storage, and apparently you can't change file permissions even with root (which I have). [link] [comments] |

| Banking apps won't work on my phone... Posted: 09 Dec 2019 11:35 AM PST I am using a Nexus 5 and for some reason almost all banking apps are incompatible according to the play store. I checked with the app and they said nexus 5 is supported, and in fact I have another nexus 5 which the apps work fine on... I tried restoring to factory settings, and chose not to restore apps or settings from backup so it was completely fresh, but the problem is still there. I think the phone has some issues with some kind of security settings or hardware but this is just a guess. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem and if there is anything that can be done about it? There are several apps that are not working, but the most well known of them is called Revolut. | Posted: 09 Dec 2019 11:16 AM PST I've been using the Gmail app for my office email, when I receive a new email (exchange/office 365 hosted), I delete it from the notification panel using the button from the expanded view. The email deletes, goes to trash and then I get notified again when it's in the trash as a new notification. I had the same set up on my note8 but since switching to my new OnePlus it's been performing as described. Whereas my note8, it didn't notify me a second time. I tried looking in the sync folder options but doesn't offer trash as an option to turn off. Anyone else have these issues or a resolution to it? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 Dec 2019 11:01 AM PST Hello all, looking for help with trouble flashing .zips using TWRP My device is a Samsung galaxy note 4 SM-N910F Kernel Version 3.10.40-10100220 Anyhow I'm trying to flash the TWRP official app and have had zero luck via either the install function of the recovery itself, or using the sideload function.
I always get the same error - Invalid zip file format! I'm aware I can just download the app through the play store but this would completely defeat the point of the exercise. Any suggestions would be much appreciated :) [link] [comments] |
| Keep getting some weird email? Posted: 09 Dec 2019 10:59 AM PST I got an email like a week ago requesting mine and someone elses release of membership for some university thing. When i clicked it it looked like 3 people having a conversation. Like one person was saying they have signed it and another person said they have confirmed and approved it. I got another email today saying they are still waiting on my release of membership. I don't go to any university and have never heard of what this thing is, so i'm confused. Is this spam? | Phone became unresponsive after battery crash Posted: 09 Dec 2019 10:57 AM PST My Moto X4 randomly shut off last Friday and it became unresponsive for the entire weekend. During that time I couldn't charge or power up the phone. No combination of buttons would turn on the screen, it didn't even show the battery empty symbol. Posted: 08 Dec 2019 05:25 PM PST My Oneplus 6 (USB-C) Charging port has stopped functioning properly, it stops charging as soon as I move the phone slightly, or sometimes randomly, the cable doesn't fully go into the connector it appears. I did what I've always done and cleaned out the port with a safety pin and toothpick. This didn't seem to help at all and the phone still refuses to charge. What can I do to make this work? Either using gcam or the stock camera, when I try to play back the video, the time signature is always wrong and there is no sound and only a still frame shows. Snapchat works to record stuff, but this is lame. I have tried different video players and also tried to analyze these videos on my computer. Nothing works. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! How do I send EVERY SINGLE call from ANY unknown number to voicemail automatically without bothering me? I don't even want my phone to ring or notify me unless they leave a message. It boggles my mind that this hasn't been a built in feature since Android 1.0. Spammers interrupt my day constantly and I have no way to stop them.
